Application due dates approaching for three fellowships

At ReportingonHealth, we aim to provide useful resources to members from a variety of sources. In that spirit, here are three fellowship opportunities that might interest you. Attend a conference, or become a fellow-in-residence at a university. Either way, if you are interested in these programs, apply soon.

Applications are due this Friday, Feb. 26, for fellowships from the Association of Health Care Journalists to attend their conference in April. Find out more about the conference, Health Journalism 2010, and the fellowships at the AHCJ website.

The Center for Environmental Journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder is seeking applicants for a nine-month academic program for professional journalists to "cover the environment more effectively and enrich the public's understanding of this crucial subject." Learn more and apply by Mar. 1.

The Massachussetts Insitute of Technology, better known as MIT, is offering nine-month fellowships to experienced journalists to study and audit courses. The program is "designed for self-motivated journalists who hope to improve their coverage of science, technology, medicine or the environment." Applications are due Mar. 1.
