I am the Executive Producer and Host of Conscious Living, a digital multi-platform news and lifestyle series.

I am also the host of Soul of Green, a news series about people of color in the green and environmental justice movements which aired for one broadcast season on WFLD/Fox Chicago, and is still being distributed online. In 2010, I won an EMMY for "Outstanding On-Camera Performance" for my role as host and co-creator of the show. That year, I also won an Excellence in Health Journalism Award in the multimedia category for a short-form documentary entitled "The Growing Solution to the Food Desert Crisis", covering Chicago's food deserts and the burgeoning urban gardening movement as a solution.

As a formally trained attorney with degrees from Princeton and The University of Virginia Law School, I translated my background in justice to become a consumer advocate and spokesperson for sustainable living. In this role, I educate and empower audiences around the world on how to live healthier, more conscious lives. In addition to hosting Conscious Living, appear regularly as a Conscious Living expert on ABC and NBC news shows around the country. Before Conscious Living, I hosted positive TV programs on networks such as Lifetime, TV ONE, the TV Guide Channel, USA, and Fox. I am also a yoga instructor and was featured in hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons' Yoga Live! video series. I've been featured in numerous magazines for my work in conscious media, including Black Enterprise, Essence, Organic Spa Magazine and Ebony. I am married to Michael Alexander, my business partner and executive producer. I am a member of the Social Venture Network and a 2009 Fellow of the Association of Health Care Journalists.

In my down time, I love to curl up with an inspiring documentary, practice yoga and eat my husband Michael's raw "cooking".
