News research director

I oversee The Plain Dealer's computer-assisted reporting program and am a longtime investigative journalist who has spent much of my 20 years in the business covering health care issues. Before coming to Cleveland, I did stints at the Charleston (W.Va.) Gazette and the Dayton Daily News. I received a bachelor's degree in English literature from The Colorado College and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. I am an adjunct faculty member at John Carroll University and a 2009 National Health Journalism Senior Fellow.
